Our History

Founded in 1970 by Lyodegar Marques, Controle focused in a sector formed by small and medium companies not serviced by the big consulting groups. With the economy boom of the 70's, several foreign companies came to Brazil and Controle was responsible for supporting the startups of their Brazilian subsidiaries.

However in the last few years the number of Brazilian clients jumped from 2% to 20%. The first local companies went to Controle seeking for a so called corporate cleanup activity: they wanted to organize their financials before negotiating a possible sale or joint venture with a foreign company. With this type of work Controle started to perceive a great growth potential by offering methods and solutions to improve management of local companies.

Controle has partners in other countries since 1991, including, Spain, Mexico, Argentina, England and USA. In 1997 firmed partnerships with audit and consulting companies in other Brazilian states.
